Gluten-Free Bread Care

Maximize the freshness and longevity of your gluten-free bread! Select your product below for optimal care tips and storage solutions.

Artisan Bread

Freezing Instructions

Your Artisan bread will stay fresh on the countertop for 2-3 days after purchase. For longer storage, follow the instructions below to freeze your bread and maintain its quality.

  1. Slice the remaining bread loaf to your desired thickness.
  2. Arrange the slices on a clean cookie sheet and place them in the freezer until they are cold (no need to freeze completely at this stage).
  3. Transfer the cold slices into a large freezer bag.
  4. Seal the bag and store in the freezer.

Defrosting Slices

To defrost bread slices, remove desired quantity of slices from the freezer and follow the below instructions.

For Soft Bread Slices

  1. Wrap slices in plastic wrap or a damp paper towel
  2. Microwave in 15 second bursts, flipping bread slices over each interval, until heated through.

For Toasting

You can toast bread directly from frozen, or follow the steps above to defrost it in advance.

For best results, toast at a lower temperature than you would for traditional bread. This ensures even toasting and prevents the edges from burning.

Defrosting a Full Uncut Loaf

To defrost, place a whole loaf in the fridge overnight, or microwave wrapped in damp paper towels for 15-20 second intervals.

You can also slice frozen bread using a sharp serrated knife and defrost slices using the instructions above.

Baguettes

Freezing Instructions

Your Baguette will stay fresh on the countertop for 2 days after purchase. For longer storage, follow the instructions below to freeze your bread and maintain its quality.

  1. Wrap baguette in plastic wrap so that it is air tight.
  2. Transfer baguette into a freezer bag, seal, and store in the freezer.

Defrosting Bageutte

To defrost baguettes, remove from the freezer and follow the below instructions.

For Soft Baguettes

  1. If your frozen baguette has not yet been wrapped in plastic wrap, do that now.
  2. Microwave in 20 second bursts, flipping baguette over each interval, until heated through.

For “Fresh Baked” Baguettes

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Remove baguette from freezer and remove plastic wrap.
  3. Wrap baguette in aluminum foil and place directly on the rack of your pre-heated oven.
  4. Bake for 25 minutes, or until heated through.
  5. If you would like a crunchier exterior, remove foil from the baguette during the final 5 minutes of baking.

Burger Buns

Freezing Instructions (from fresh)

Burger Buns will stay fresh on the countertop for 2 days after purchase. For longer storage, follow the instructions below to freeze your buns and maintain their quality.

  1. Place the buns on a sheet pan and freeze for 30 minutes to an hour, until semi-frozen.
  2. Transfer them to a large freezer bag and store in the freezer.

For added freshness, wrap each bun individually in plastic wrap before storing in the freezer.

Defrosting Frozen Buns

To defrost dinner rolls, remove desired quantity of rolls from the freezer and follow the below instructions.

For Soft Burger Buns

  1. Wrap the buns individually in plastic wrap (our favorite method) or in a damp paper towel and microwave for 20 seconds.
  2. Continue microwaving in 15-second intervals, flipping bun over each interval, until warm and steamy.
  3. Before unwrapping, let bun sit and “steam” for 1-2 minutes. You will be left with a soft and fluffy bun!

Additional Prepping Methods

These methods are to be used AFTER your burger buns have been defrosted.

Grilling/Toasting Method

Heat a small pad of butter in a saute pan on your stovetop at medium-low heat until melted. Cut your bun in half and place both pieces, middle side down, into the saute pan. For best results, move the buns around the pan without lifting up to spread the butter onto the surface of the bun. Let toast until lightly browned.

Air Fryer Method

Slice bun in half, length-wise. Place both pieces cut-side down on the air fryer rack. Air fry at 350° for 3-5 minutes until lightly toasted.

Dinner Rolls

Freezing Instructions (from fresh)

  1. Place the rolls on a sheet pan and freeze for 30 minutes to an hour, until semi-frozen.
  2. Transfer them to a large freezer bag and store in the freezer.

Defrosting Frozen Rolls

To defrost dinner rolls, remove desired quantity of rolls from the freezer and follow the below instructions.

For Soft Doughy Rolls

  1. Wrap the rolls in damp paper towels and microwave for 30 seconds.
  2. If additional time is needed, continue microwaving in 15-second intervals until warm and steamy.

For “Fresh-Baked” Rolls

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F.
  2. Arrange the rolls on a sheet pan, spacing them at least one inch apart.
  3. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until heated through.
